What is the nutrition information for McDonalds? Im going to the Mall of Acadiana today, and I need to know the nutritional information for either McDonalds, Chick-fil-A, or Quizno's. I am a picky eater, and most web sites only have nutrition information for lets say a burger with everything on it. What is a good website where I can choose what goes on my burger, salad, etc., and then get the nutritional information?

Thanks if you can help! P.S. Sorry about the explaining but I hope you know what i mean!
McDonalds Hiding Nutrition Facts? Do you think McDonalds really keeps nutrition facts away from people or just don't make effort to educate people about their nutrition facts? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvVmy-J_B1Q There is some stuff pointed out here that I found interesting, and I'm thinking that if people really knew this, they'd probably not eat McDonalds all the time. You can barely even get a nutrition facts label thing from McDonalds, or any other fast food place if you tried to. Do you think that there should be a rule that fast food places have to give you the nutrition facts of what you're eating?
Grilled Chicken Mcdonalds Snackwrap Nutrition info? I am on a diet and just ate a snack wrap with grilled chicken from micky d's and their website doesnt offer the nutrition info for the GRILLED snackwrap just the crispy. But i did not see it on the menu when i looked online i don't see it anywhere there and when you google it all you get is nutrition facts. Is Mcdonalds really healthier than Red Rooster? I was doing some reading through the nutrition guides, and according to them Mcdonalds is healthier than Red rooster. I found it difficult to believe. Is it really healthier than Red rooster, or I am just reading it incorrectly? I know that no junk food is healthy, but I was so sure that Red rooster would be at least slightly healthier than Mcdonalds.
Since when do FAST FOOD restaurants have to put nutrition information on their products? Hi, I am trying to find out when a law was passed stating that junk food chains are obliged to publish health and nutrition information. For example: the back of the piece of paper on your mcdonalds tray! Thank you!
What are the nutrition facts for the Mcdonald's Vanilla Iced Coffee? I looked all over the website and in Mcdonald's, but I couldn't find it.
what are the nutrition facts for a steak bagel at mcdonalds? calories total fat staurated fat trans fat sugars protein cab cholestroal i need the whole 9 yards
Why do McDonalds burgers have transfat? McDonalds has changed almost their entire menu to get rid of transfats (see http://nutrition.mcdonalds.com/bagamcmeal/nutrition_facts.html). Except their burgers. A chicken sandwich has 0 transfat, but a hamburger does. Why? The only difference between the two is the burger itself versus the chicken. But I thought transfat was only hydrogenated oil, which would not be found in hamburger meat (or any other meat). I called McDonalds and they don't know either.
Does anybody know about McDonald's nutrition, if you make it your way? I usually eat a plain double hamburger with lettuce only. No cheese, pickles, ketchup, mustard, or onions. How many calories is this? Fat? Protein? Carbs? etc.? Thanks.
Is there ANYTHING healthy at Mcdonalds? I went to the Mcdonalds website for their nutrition information and ingredients in their food. Even their "healthy" food is full of crap! Their buns have high fructose corn syrup in them, a food additive I'm avoiding consumption of. Their tortillas for their snack wraps contain vegetable shortening and partially hydrogenated oils, and all of their grilled chicken in prepared in trans fat fill margarine! The only item I could find that lacked trans fat and high fructose corn syrup is the tiny side salad they have there. Is there anything healthy?

How accurate are nutrition charts regarding calorie content? When mcdonalds says that a mcchicken sandwich only has 360 calories in it, is that generally true? How far off can they be? Can you trust the info?
Why is calorie info on McDonald's website different than on the packaging? I bought a BigMac - the packaging says 459 kcal, the website http://nutrition.mcdonalds.com/ says 540 kcal. Apple Pie - 210 kcal on the packaging, 250 kcal on the website. Which source of info should I trust? Btw, I'm in Europe, maybe there's a difference in portion size? Edit - typo: BigMac packaging says 495, not 459.
Which restaurant is more better McDonalds or Burger King? Now Im doing a five paragraph essay on whether McDonald's is better than Burger King. I say McDonald's is because their organization is original and their meals offer nutrition such as apple slices salads etc. Please give me your opinion so I can have a more reasonable explanation on this paper I need you guys help please every little opinion counts. Thanks Shakirah
Whats up with McDonalds nutrional facts? So I'm on their website looking at the nutrional facts, mainly for their salads. Let's assume you order a salad from there (no meat, bacon). Now if you compare the calories the southwest would be a nice choice.. even better the caesar. BUT now what's up with the.. *calories from fat *fat total (g) *saturated fat (g) I see none of them have any trans fat which is good but still.. how does SALAD have any fat. I didn't know veggies store those lol. Now if they do, why does the side salad have none whatsoever?? Could someone explain this to me. My only reasoning is that they added the dressing i unno. :/ You can find what I'm looking at here.. http://nutrition.mcdonalds.com/nutritionexchange/nutritionfacts.pdf
What are the laws regarding restaurants displaying health/nutrition facts on the packaging of the product? I am writing a paper about this and am having trouble finding what I'm looking for. Are there any laws right now that force restaurants (especially fast food) to do this? I noticed that McDonald's already does do it but other companies do not.

On the Nutrition Facts labels, is "Calories from fat" in ADDITION to the Total Calories or part of it? So say a McDonalds Sausage Burrito is 300 calories and 140 Calories from fat. Is that 300 calories total or 300+140 =440 calories total?

Need help with a paper I'm writing on nutrition in fast food places? Does anyone know what year McDonald's started serving salads? If possible, I'd also like to know the year when fast food restaurants started serving salads in general.
Do YOU think Fast food restaurants SHOULD have Nutrition Labels? In some recent studies, some people complain that they are gaining weight from going to places like McDonald's, Wendy's, Burger King, etc...well duh! Don't eat fast food! However they think that there should be labels with nutrition information on each product. What do you think about this?
Would the manufactors get sued if they display wrong nutrition facts even though they don't have to? Would they get in trouble if for example people in diets eat the wrong food? If the FDA and the USDA is not in charge, what will happen then? wouldn't the same thing go for the fast food companies, like McDonalds?
Is Mcdonalds really "unhealthy"? http://www.mcdonalds.com/app_controller.nutrition.categories.ingredients.index.html ^^ upon inspecting their ingredients, they aren't NEARLY as bad as they used to be. The stuff they put in their food could easily be in anything found in your kitchen. And about the documentary about the guy who ate mcdonalds every day and gained all that weight, who REALLY eats mcdonalds every day multiple times a day?
Did You Know McDonalds French Fries Contain BEEF? Here's the Ingredients. http://www.mcdonalds.com/app_controller.nutrition.categories.ingredients.index.html#1 Here's a more detailed article. http://www.rense.com/general7/whyy.htm

I would like to know why people call McDonalds junk food ? Thank you..? Hello everyone.. when I go to McDonals (or KCS or any fast foods restaurant); sometimes I find a leaflet containing health/nutrition info. For example, the leaflet from McDonalds tell me (cmiiw) : - Each combo package is carefully prepared based upon your daily calories need. It should supply you with any essential nutrition and, logically, it wouldn't make you fat as long as you don't overeat it. - McDonalds uses only the best-grade meat, vegetables, etc, etc under the highest standard ever. - McDonalds uses a carefully selected vegetable oil. Much healthier than a usual cooking oil in the store. - Any other mumbo-jumbo that I couldn't remember. From reading such leaflet, I got an impression that fast foods was actually a healthy foods. Well, I know that I got a wrong impression; people wouldn't call them junk foods without reason. Why exactly do people call them junk foods ? How do those leaflets fool me ? Thank you in advance ... :d Best regards, -septerra-
McDonalds Fanta Orange, not suitable for vegetarians. WHY? If you check out the tray liners at McDonalds (UK) on the back there's "Nutrition Breakdown" of food. In the drinks section, it states that Fanta Orange is not suitable for vegetarians....What could possibly be in an orange drink that makes this so.......?
How many calories are in McDonald's new brownie melts? I can't find it online anywhere! It's not even on McDonald's nutrition facts on their website. Give me a serious answer please!

How do I know how many calories are in fast food restaurants? Places like Subway, Quiznos, Mr. Sub or even junk food restaurants like Mcdonalds, Burger King, and Taco Bell obviously don't have nutrition labels on them so how will I know how many calories and protein I'm taking in?
Should reps from Ballys, LA Fitness and World Gym be allowed to stake customers outside of McDonalds? or any other food place? Should they 'pull them over' like police waiting outside a bar and give them a talk down about proper nutrition and health ,and make them feel guilty about heart attacks and diabeties while persuading them to sign for their services? joeblow- wow, looks like you are gonna have a heart attack yourself - want fries with that? no, i dont eat at McDonalds, dont care who does and what it does to them; i was being satirical on how everyone is policing and nitpicking every little 'vice' someone has- all in the name of health or 'the children' or something else that makes me gag go back and read My Pet Goat
What is it going to take for America to stop the production of unhealthy, fat-filled foods? Obesity levels are higher than ever & yet McDonalds, Wendys, Burger King, etc. are still manufacturing unhealthy foods that can cause cancer. Although most places are taking steps to reduce levels of fat and increase nutrition levels in their food, they won't stop selling the others that are horrible for anyone to eat even once a week. I'm aware that business could plummet if they stopped selling the big macs or whoppers, but what about the health of America and future generations? I realize they can go out of business if no one buys the fast food. But don't many Americans know what it's doing to them? No doubt the companies do! it's pitiful.
should mcdonalds and other fa(s)t food companies be restricted in marketing- kids susceptible to advertising.? http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070806/hl_nm/kids_fastfood_dc these A holes have been misleading the public for years- yes, fat is fat and fast food is fatty everyone knows, but mcdonalds among many others have and continue to routinely thwart efforts to disclose nutrition information and are part of the group that refused to disclose the existance of, much less the harmfull effects of trans fat since the 1950's. should they be restricted in advertising? what about causing them to post warnings on the packages like the "surgeon general's" cigarette warning. also keep in mind we do the same thing for cigarettes and kids are more likely to be swayed by food, than ciagarettes. also like cigarettes, they actively took steps to mislead the public about the dangers involved in these foods and the substances they put in them. Yes, they have taken steps recently to change but not good enough. unlike tv or videogame violence, the parents have no control over when a network plays a commercial. a parent can forbid or block a network tv show, but they cannot block a specific commercial that comes on during an approved program. I would say that they have done enough when they place the surgeon general's warning equivalent (a skull and crossbones) on each and every package of food with a big label saying this food is hazardous to your health, AND make every customer sign a waiver. Fact is, why do you find 5 mcdonald's in poor area as opposed to less in more affluent areas? they have caused the damage, let them pay to repair it.
McDonalds has this New Burger called the Angus Burger What is "Angus" ? The manager didn't know, The employees didn't know so I called McDonalds toll free nutrional hotline & they didn't know, She said its 100% beef I said I understand that but what is a Angus then she got upset with my question & said Sir I'm just reading what it says here. However while we was eating I noticed the place mat showed nutrition information on it & under Beef the "Angus Burger" Did not exsist!!! P.S. The "Angus Burger" has been out for almost a year now and the Nutritional Info was last Revised 6 months ago. Also please note during this process I was standing in line at McDonalds and they didn't hand out laptop's or PC's with or before ordering my meal. Point being now I have already searched the internet for the best answer but I just wanted to see if I was the only one on the planet that didn't know what "ANGUS" was. I see you didn't either... Sir Richard
Poor nutrition in children? A friend of mine has a 4 year old son, and his nutrition is really becoming a concern of mine. He hardly ever has proper meals, and when he does it is something like mcdonalds chicken nuggets and a hamburger. He never eats veggies, rarely eats fruits, meats, etc, it seems like almost everything he has is unhealthy. He eats pretty much whenever he wants to (we went out to dinner the other night and they just bought him ice cream for dinner). They all came over to my house the other night and within 2 hours he ate at least 10 pieces of candy, 3 or 4 chocolate covered pretzels, goldfish, fruit snacks, spaghetti-os, apple sauce, and 4 glasses or pepsi. I think it is completely ridiculous, and i was just a little curious of what sorts of things could happen to a child with a diet like this. He is not at all obese, however i am concerned for him. I want to say something, but i just really do not have any argument to say how bad this could be for their child. Please, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Yeah but she asks me if her son can have something to drink and goes and gets it for him, that is not really anything i can control either... I go over to their house several times a week and it is always like this....
I know I did horrid on nutrition today, but did I do ok on calories? I know my nutrition today was through the roof horrid, but for a 5'4 23yr old female, did I do ok on calories? (please, no "you need this and that and replace that for this or 'look at this awesome site I found', I just want to know please.) Thank you. 1/2 cup instant mashed potatoes 10 miniature crab-cakes 2 cups jamocha almond fudge ice cream 1 county fair tray chili cheese fries 20oz pink lemonade 5 dark chocolate raisinets 1/4 cup stroganoff 20oz McDonalds Sweet Tea 1 1/2 litres water yes or no? Oh yes, and for excercise I walked around the fair for three hours.
How do I meet others into nutrition? So how do you guys meet friends and dates who are into fitness, nutrition and/or bodybuilding? I'm very mindful of what I eat and I love eating well avoiding processed, bad foods, etc... The thing is, I'm the only person that I know of who's as good as I am at it. But because I am this way, I clash with people who don't care about their health or eating habits. Reason is simple... If I'm spending time with someone, they wanna go to McDonalds, I can't... They wanna eat donuts, I can't, etc... It just doesn't put me in a good position. So I'm asking you guys, how do you find others who actually care about themselves and are mindful of their eating? Thanks.
Do fast food french fries have animal traces in them? It says on Wendy's nutrition values that the fries could be cooked in stuff with animal products but I'm not sure. Does anyone know if the fries [and at McDonalds] are vegan safe?

Parents nagging about nutrition, help.? I simply want advice on how to keep my confidence high, while going through this. My parents are HEALTH nuts. My brother and my sister both have a personal trainer. I am pretty much the devils kid in their eyes, I enjoy McDonalds and other fast foods, I DO play hockey & volleyball, but it never seems to be enough physical activity. She claims she's just worried, but the comments my mom comes up with and teering my confidence apart.

Compare Burger King to McDonalds!? nutrition, style, popularity, everything & other fast food restaurants
Any correlation studies between participation in Home Economics courses and general health/obesity rates? I have seen the recently published ones with family time, behavior and adolescent rates. I have noticed that people who have taken at least two Home Ec courses in High school tend to eat better (more nutrionally sound) or were taught at home did better than the others who didn't. I wonder if anyone has ever done a study on this, and incorporate Home Economics (or "consumer" whatever they changed it to) into a standard of education so young adults do not have to rely on fast food, like Subway or McDonalds, to teach them nutrition. I took many in high school, and paid more attention to my health (plus my family influence). I'm not too concerned about obesity, as there are many factors involved, but general health status. For those who may be interested...Germany is working on this (HA, my grandmother is full german...and whom I learned all about frugal living!) This was the type of information I needed to know....nutritional studies. http://www.dw-world.de/dw/article/0,2144,2251268,00.html I have to make my own pizza at home, and realized it tastes better and much healthier than store-bought/premade. Same with cookies, cakes, Bisquick, etc.
Should McDonalds be taking ALL of the heat for being a very unhealthy resturant? Of course, we all know they're bad. But, I came across some nutrition info on the dairy queen website. A large, chocolate chip cookie dough blizzard has 1440 calories (big mac has only 540) that's 2.6 times less 55 grams of fat (Big Mac has only 29 grams) that's nearly TWICE as much 28.5 grams of saturdated fat (Big mac has 10) that's over 2.5 times more 6 grams of trans fat (big mac has only 1.5) that's 4 times the trans fat.. 211 carbohydrates (big mac only has 45) that's 4.5 times more carbs 156 grams of sugar (Big mac only has 9) that's 17 times more sugar 700 MG of sodium (This is the only aspect that a big mac ISN'T healthier than a blizzard from dairy queen Big Macs are notorious, often labeled "Heart attacks on a bun" but look at dairy queen blizzards! I have never heard people harping on them in the media, and look at that, simple research shows how much worse they are.. QUESTION: Were you aware of this? This question isn't about forcing people at eat anywhere, I have NO clue where any of you got that from. The question is simply asking "were you aware of this" and some of you are going off and saying "no one is forcing you to eat there" ....does that make ANY sense? This site is filled with uneducated people. You are going off topic! This has NOTHING to do with being foced to eat there. GET THAT IN YOUR HEAD FOR CRYING OUT LOUD. I am SIMPLY asking, were you aware of this? and almost all of you run off topic, sad. And the top contributor guy, you compared a small blizzard, and you didnt specify which flavour. Your answer is very manipulated. Sarah had the only good answer, isn't that sad? Im not asking if they should be blamed for *SERVING* the food or making people eat, I am just simply wondering if you guys out there knew that they aren't the worst fast food place (as they are critically acclaimed to be).
Is My Nutrition The Cause ??? I am new here, and thought this may be the correct area to post in. About 3 months ago, I went to the doctor cause my hair and nails are snapping/breaking/falling out. I had no idea what is causing this, except I knew something was wrong cause this has NEVER happened in my 30 years of life. Blood work was fine except my 'Ferratin' was a low. I have been on suppliments for over a month now, and If I knew any better, I would say its getting worse. I have been known to eat 'Mall Food' at least 5-8 times a week for about 8 years now, as I work as a manager in a mall. Subway, pizza, Mcdonalds (occasionally) .... I thought I was getting what I was supposed to get in nutriets but Iam convinced my problems are nutritional. My calcium came back fine. So I am wondering what I could lack that would cause these problems. I have been taking Protein shakes, Biotin, Fish Oil and Amino Acids as well for the last month. Apparently I dont eat a lot of iron, hense the deficiency. I drink in moderation, 3-6 beers a week. Don't smoke, 5'1, 108 lbs. I exercise when I can, but keep an active life. Don't smoke. I am always tired, and I am scared. I see no one that looks like me (their hair) and wonder what I could be lacking that would cause so much distress on my hair and nails. I know its nutritional, I do not process my hair (or nails) ... I just don't know why I am being so severly affected. Any ideas ?? Thyroid, Hormones are fine. Its my nails too. No scalp problems. No lupus. No infections.
does poor nutrition really contribute to how tall you are? read on? my mother, always fed me really unhealthy food when i was growing up....mcdonalds, burger king, anything fried, pizza...and a bunch of other fattening unhealthy food, and watever i wanted...i used to go to pizza buffets and eat like 20 pieces of pizza..and drink a 24 pack of dew a day... well i found myself being 5 ft 4 at 185 pounds when i was 15...i blame her...but thats besides the point...is that why im so short???i eat good now...really good, completly changed it around and got down to 125/130...im 155 now but, im not fat...nd the doctor said im not growing anymore...so i aint growing....and my parents are 5'8 and 5'10 or so and i got 2 brothers who are 6'4 and my lil sister who is 9 is like 5 feet tall or close to it shes 57 inches tall!...so its not genetics...does it really contribute to being short? i mean i dont really mind it...cuz being this height muscle shows up REALLY good...so yeah...and can also fit in small places...but yeah does it? or is it cuz im italian...like italians are really short...ever go to visit some people in the mafia there all around my height...some are taller but yeah ive never starved myself...thats why i took up weightlifting i get to eat as much as i want when i want...and its food i like...and im doing good for myself...plus the girls like the gigantic muscles and other people are jelous...makes me laugh... ive never starved myself...thats why i took up weightlifting i get to eat as much as i want when i want...and its food i like...and im doing good for myself...plus the girls like the gigantic muscles and other people are jelous...makes me laugh... i weightlift no cardio...and i dont go every single day im not going to overtrain and hurt myself or whatever...lol...and im 16 now it only took around 7 months to do all of this haha
A question about childrens nutrition? We have very healthy breakfasts and dinners, I cook dinner every night - no fried food, lots of fresh veggies. Breakfast usually consists of Kashi cereals, occasionally eggs, oatmeal... For lunch my 3 children eat ck nuggets and tator tots, fish sticks and tots, soy butter and jelly, and once a week mcdonalds hamburgers with apples instead of fries. I give them fruit with all their lunches. We sometimes eat leftover dinners... Is the nuggets, fish sticks and tots, and mcd's every week unhealthy in your opinion? Any ideas for quick and easy lunches? (note allergy to dairy eggs and peanuts)
McDonald's Fries Halal or Haram? I was asked this question earlier by a friend of mine, and I decided to look up on the net to find my answers. I was surprised that majority of the muslims announced they were haraam without doing proper research. Some of the answers were given without any thought especially the ones on Yahoo and the Amir Khan site, and most were based on heresay. We are taught in Islam not to base our answers on heresay but we should research fully before we give answers and do not rely on heresay. We should always check with the producer of the food in question rather making up our own assumptions. So after doing some research by checking on legitimate websites, I can now conclude the following : McDonald Fries in UK are halal and do not use beef tallow to coat the potatoes. However in the US, they are haraam as the McDonald US website confirms it is. Link : See Questions 1,2, 4 and 7 (dated august 2008) http://www.makeupyourownmind.co.uk/questions/whats-in-the-food/french-fries/#question4 They are now accredited from the Vegetarian Society in the UK: http://www.makeupyourownmind.co.uk/vegetarian-fries.html McDonalds UK ingredient listing: http://www.mcdonalds.co.uk/resources/img/sections/eatsmart/Nutrition.pdf McDonalds US Petition http://www.petitiononline.com/McdFries/petition.html From USA McDonalds Ingredients Page (click on French Fries): http://nutrition.mcdonalds.com/bagamcmeal/nutrition_ingredients.html#1 French Fries: Potatoes, vegetable oil (canola oil, hydrogenated soybean oil, natural beef flavor [wheat and milk derivatives]*), citric acid (preservative), dextrose, sodium acid pyrophosphate (maintain color), salt. Prepared in vegetable oil ((may contain one of the following: Canola oil, corn oil, soybean oil, hydrogenated soybean oil with TBHQ and citric acid added to preserve freshness), dimethylpolysiloxane added as an antifoaming agent). * CONTAINS: WHEAT AND MILK (Natural beef flavor contains hydrolyzed wheat and hydrolyzed milk as starting ingredients). May we all attain and seek knowledge and research fully before we make any comments. And Allah Knows Best Ihtesham (UK)

How well do you understand Calories? You will need good math skills and know what makes up calories. 1) Lets say you go out for dinner. You have two 8 ounce cans of beer with 5% Alcohol You order some food with 35 grams of fat, 76 grams of carbs, and 25 grams of protien. How many calories did you just take in. (Round answer to the nearest tenth) 2) Please order these from highest to lowest calorie per gram count. ---Carbohydrates ---Fat ---Alcohol ---Protein 3) Lets say you go to McDonalds for dinner. You get a Cheeseburger, Fries, and a drink (not diet). That would be about 42 Grams of fat, 143 Grams of Carbohydrates, 21 Grams of Protien. How many Calories is that? (You will be shocked) Information source: http://www.mcdonalds.com/app_controller.nutrition.index1.html Facts: +50 - 60% of Calories Should come from Carbohydrates +10-20% of Calories should come from Protien +30% Should come from fat, but only 10% from saturated fat. Your diet should only consist of 2,000-2,500 Calories To help you with number 1, an 8 ounce beer(5% alcohol) is about 11.34 grams of alcohol.
whn readng nutrn facts, if ur tkng note of th calories in total, do u inclde crbs, prtn x4 etc. or jst cals? FOR EXAMPLE: http://www.dietfacts.com/html/nutrition-facts/mcdonalds-breakfast-hash-browns-17265.htm would the hashbrown be 130kcal or 284kcal (by incldng carbs(x4), protein(x4), fat(x9) etc.. ??? if i keep a recrd of wht i eat, do all foods count as wht the calories simply r or do i hve to multiply the amnt of carbs, protein, fat to the calories???
THEY DO PUT BEEF FLAVOR ON THEIR FRIES!! see? http://www.mcdonalds.com/app_controller.nutrition.categories.ingredients.index.html#1 Thats the link to mcdonalds ingredients. Vegans and Vegetarians beware. Comments? Questions? After doing some research I found that they were sued by people after discovering that their was beef product on the fries. Now they have to list the ingredients of all their products so that people will know.

can you get muscular in 4 and a half months with this routine? I want to get pretty muscular in 4 and a half months. I would like nice triceps/biceps, and a six pack. I am 130, 5"6, and pretty broad. My BMI is great for my age, but not yet good for a six pack. I never eat mcdonalds, wendys, etc. Ill do 3 days of weights (40 minutes) and 2 days of cardio/abs (30-40 minutes). I don't want to look like Arnold, just very, VERY toned. is this plan good? Assume proper diet/nutrition, not creatine, etc.
