Taco Bell Nutrition Knowledge Base
How many calories does a 7-Layer Crunchwrap from Taco Bell have? Say I get it with no cheese, and extra tomato. I can't find the nutrition information for it anywhere. ninety9point8, how is this possible?no tacobells website, nothing ontheir menu is over 700 calories. 7 layer crunchwrap isn't on it, so I can't check. But it has NO meat, NO cheese, HEALTHY vegetables and beans on it, the rest of it can't add up to that much. It has some sour cream which is probably all that's unhealthy?
Is it true that Taco Bell uses grade D meat in their food? I heard this from a chick that I used to know, and she said she asked them for a nutrition guide to their food, and of course in it she said it stated that instead of grade A they use grade D meat..... am I the only one that has heard this before?
Best Item From Taco Bell? I'm a HUGE Taco Bell fan, I mean that stuff is DELICIOUS. I was just trying to decide what my favorite things are (and obviously none of it is healthy, but I was trying to choose the lower-calorie/fat items). Some of my favorites are the volcano double beef burrito, the cheesy gordita crunch, the cheesy bacon double beef burrito, the chicken quesadilla...really anything. My question to you is WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE (preferably a burrito or taco, but can be anything I guess. Also, if you can find nutrition info, post it).
How can adding chain food facilites such as taco bell be positive for high school? [if yu can add to this essay that would be great] Have you ever desired to change things about your high school? Have you ever thought about what was most important to you? If I could change one thing about my school, it would have to do with the lunches. It would be better to have several different on-site commercial food alternatives such as McDonalds, Subway, or Panda Express. This would allow student to have a wider variety to choose from and it would generate additional revenue for the school. Lunch currently consists of the same things everyday. Although it is not bad, there are not enough choices, causing students to stop purchasing school lunches. In a situation where a student is currently dieting or trying to eat healthier, the cafeteria can make it difficult. When it comes to nutrition, the schools cafeteria is lacking tremendously. With the addition of commercial eateries, students in those situations could pick up a sandwich or another nutritional snack. A facility like McDonalds is more often visited for the taste but because it has such great variety, people who are dieting can also find options. They offer salads as well as burgers! You can also get a patty less bun, which serves as a healthier snack. These days you find more and more students bringing their lunch to school, or are just waiting until they get home to eat. The incorporation of familiar eating establishments in school will entice students to eat on campus. More students would want to eat lunch, knowing that they will be able to find one of their favorite meals. At our school they rotate between three to five different types of meals and most of the time we get served the same thing. Some people might disagree with this proposal because of cost concern or the idea of chain restaurant food being unhealthy. On the contrary, since the sites would belong to the school, they can control the portion sizes given to the children. They could also make rules of seconds, and how much you can buy at a time. The additional cost would be re-coped to fold with the profits generated from food sells. This can also lead to having extra money, which will end up providing the school with more extra curricular activities and sports. In conclusion, I think that it will be better for our school to have on-site commercial food facilities. This will benefit the students by providing them with more food alternatives, and opportunity to have a nutritious lunch. Also the installation of these facilities can end up increasing lunch sales. This can cause an over flow of money, which may allow us to have more extra curricular activities and go on more field trips. I think having these on site facilities can benefit our high school in many ways.
What kind of meals do you serve a picky eater? My boyfriends 7 yr old son is coming to stay with us for the summer and i will be doing the cooking, of course. He is a big fan of pizza, taco bell, and a few select items. Ive never met the child yet, but his dad says he isn't getting the nutrition he needs. As for his mama she feeds him the certain things he eats. We want to make sure he gets his nutrients. Do you have any ideas on kid friendly meals for picky eaters?
nutrition question about fast food? if i have one unhealthy meal a day, like a 700 calorie, 40 grams of fat meal from taco bell or wendys, but then i don't eat anything bad the rest of the day and i just have normal stuff for breakfast and dinner, is that ok? how many grams of fat is ok per day, for an active 145 pound 17 year-old male? this isn't a losing weight question i'm wondering about maintaining weight. and i dont mean the exact same thing for lunch every day i just mean from the same places
What is Fresco Style? On the taco bell website, under nutrition facts, it says that "any item with cheese and/or sauce can be made 'Fresco Style'." Does this mean that they don't add cheese or sauce? Or does this mean something else. I am assuming it is supposed to be a healthier version, but it doesn't explain...
Does anyone else find this funny/disturbing? It's the ingredient statement from Taco Bell... http://www.yum.com/nutrition/documents/tb_ingredient_statement.pdf I found the entry for eggs to be particularly funny: Eggs Whole Eggs, Butter Flavor [Partially Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Butter, Water, Salt, Soybean Lecithin, Potassium Sorbate (A Preservative), Natural And Artificial Flavors, BHT Added To Help Protect Flavor. Colored With Beta Carotene. Dimethylpolysiloxane, An Antifoaming Agent, Added], Contains Less Than 1% Of The Following: Salt, Citric Acid, Pepper, Xanthan Gum, Guar Gum. CONTAINS MILK, EGGS, SOYBEAN I never knew that eggs had so many ingredients... I find it both funny and disturbing. I was wondering what everybody else thought about it. Do you find it funny? Do you find it disturbing?
can someone help me out with this.....? ok i wanted to find the nutrition facts of my meal but my computer wouldnt open up the site........i had two chicken soft tacos from taco bell.....could someone tell me the nutrition facts please thank u:)
Is 2000 Calories 2000 Calories? Ok So my diet is basically 600 calories for breakfast, lunch dinner, and some sort of snack (no more than 200 cals) in there too. (2000-2200 calories a day). Unfortunately I don't have much control over what is had for dinner so I just eat 600 calories of whatever we are having but today I went out to lunch with a friend and had taco bell, but kept to my 600 calories and i find out tonight we are having enchiladas and I will have 600 calories of those. While I know that enchiladas and taco bell are not like perfect example of nutrition but am I still on track because I am only eating 2000 calories but today's calories have more fat in them. Thanks
What can I do to help me get that 6 pack abs or make the abs at least visible? I am 20 years old, 5'6 some wheres around 140-145 pounds(not sure, been a while since I have measured). Ever since I was a kid I always wanted to get 6 pack abs and I thought playing football and being active would do just that but I never got them. Now finishing up my first year of college I really want to start working on that. In college I do intramural flag football in the fall and play basketball with friends during the winter in a gym and during the summer outside but that's about as active I have been. This last month I have been doing push-ups, regular crunches, reverse crunches, side crunches, and other exercises that works the midsection everyday except Friday's. I have two different routines that I do on different days so I never do the same one twice in a row. But it's not like I need to build my abs any more cause it's really strong as it is. I could have my roomate punch me 4-5 times in the midsection and it would not hurt one bit. The problem I have is the excess flab that covers my midsection. Almost looks like I got a little bit of a beer belly or something but I don't drink, smoke, or do any kind of drugs so it's not that. It's hard to get a good nutrition schedule going because on campus we have taco bell, friendly's, KFC, and Pizza hut which obviously are not the best places to eat, and it's almost impossible to get good healthy food like fruit and vegetables unless you want to drive really far to get some. I looked at some questions and a lot of people answered with running as a solution but I hate getting up early to go for a run or stop what I am doing in the evening to run it's just a pain in the ass to do that. But I guess if that's the best way, then I will. Anyone have other ideas that I could do or ideas of how I should be eating. Thanks in advance.
How can I lose belly fat? Since starting work at McDonald's almost a year ago, I've gone from 120 to 140 lbs. Most of the weight I've gained has been around my tummy, and I think it makes me look like I'm about 3 months pregnant. I heard that if you keep your gut sucked in as you go about your day, it'll start to shrink your tummy - does anyone know if that's true? I've started drinking Diet Coke, skipping the fries and eating grilled chicken on the Snack Wraps and leaving the cheese off of them. What else can I do? If I can lose 10-15 lbs. I'll be happy. Oh, and does anyone know where I can find the nutrition facts on that new Grilled Chicken Gordita at Taco Bell? I like them a lot, and they're mostly lettuce anyway - plus they're only 89 cents! =3
I didn't make a very healthy choice...? I didn't read the nutrition facts before deciding to eat a 60-cal broccoli & cheese Green Giant pack instead of a 70-cal vegan Boca patty. I found out afterward that the broccoli & cheese sauce pack had 3 g of fat, 1 g saturated fat, while the patty had only 0.5 g total fat, and 0 g saturated fat. The patty also had more protein and other vitamins, so I'm feeling SO guilty for eating the pack instead of the patty. I had whole grain cereal for breakfast with a banana, raisins, and almonds; an apple as a snack, one taco bell burrito for lunch. This was my after-lunch snack, but I know we'll be having some fried food for dinner, so I really didn't want more fat in my day. I've learned my lesson, but I feel so terrible. How do you get over these mistakes?
What would you do to rid the US of obesity? Any ideas? I'm doing a presentation for nutrition class on possible solutions or preventions to lower the obesity rate in our country. Here's what I thought of so far: Require schools to have nutrition education in order to graduate (childhood obesity is a huge issue right now) Ban junk food from schools (such as pizza, hamburgers, taco bell, etc) and have more salad bars with a variety of food to teach children how to make healthy choices. Have more restaurants who offer smaller portion sizes (like TGI Friday's "right portion, right price") Have more restaurants consult a Dietitian to help create a menu with healthy options. Only 5% of Medical schools require their students to take a nutrition class and even then, its usually just a basic class. This is a problem because most people consult their doctors for nutrition advice when they aren't very qualified. I think all medical schools should require nutrition classes. I need more ideas please. Thanks!
Someone please tell me I'm not crazy. My co worker is on an apple and peanut diet!? Someone please reassure me I am not the idiot here... so a co worker of mine started this diet.. one day he wouldn't eat anything all he would do is drink about 2 , 2 liter diet cokes. Then on the next day he would eat any and everything he wanted trying to get enough nutrition for both days. However his day to eat he would get about the biggest value meal from a fast food joint. I told him he was making himself misreable for no reason because that diet was crazy. He insists there is a book on it. Now he is on another brainiac diet.... he said he was switching to a low carb diet... although he will eat about 8 little bags of peanuts (2/$1 at a gas station i think golden flake brand) and a bag of apples. I told him it seemed like he needed more nutrition than that but he said when he gets home he eats a good supper.. which I found out was KFC one night and Taco Bell another night. Someone please tell me I'm not stupid! Oh and his form of exercise is sprinting about 30 seconds/day If there are any medical conditions or something from this let me know... I would LOVE to have a way or proof to show him I'm right!
is my guy friend anorexic? he's my best friend so we always hang out and stuff. but whenever its time to eat, he hardly eats or doesnt eat at all. we're seniors in high school but he lives by himself and he doesnt know how to cook so he usually either goes to fast food restaurants like taco bell at midnight or doesnt eat dinner at all. whenever hes over at my house and im eating dinner he always refuses to eat with me and either says that he had a big lunch or that hes not hungry. but at school, he never eats lunch and he doesnt eat breakfast. ive been even more concerned lately because the other day we went to starbucks together in the morning and he told me he had a stomachache. i assumed that it was from not eating dinner the night before so i bought him a bagel. all through the ride to school he didnt touch it and we had to go to homeroom. y do i get the feeling he probably threw the bagel away? i always tell him how seriously important it is to eat healthy and get the proper amount of nutrition but he never listens. ive tried nagging, making fun of him, and threatening to not talk to him but all he does is smile or laugh a little and ignore it. and just now, he told me that he woke up at 3am last night because his stomach started hurting. i just think he has no idea how severe things could get. he thinks that hes fine but hes not. and hes so weak! he cant play any sports and i can easily push him. he has no muscle at all and can hardly lift weights. he used to be fat when he was a kid. could it also be an insecurity thing? does he have anorexia?
Hopefully this will make put a smile on your face! (Jokes)? When man was created, the body parts argued about who should be boss. The brain said he should be boss since he controlled all thoughts. The eyes said they should be boss since without them, man wouldn't be able to see. The legs then countered this by saying that it was them that brought man wherever he wanted to go. The stomach argued that it was him that provided nutrition for the whole body and he should be boss. Then the a-hole applied for the job. The other parts laughed so hard that the a-hole got angry and closed up for a week. The stomach got upset, the legs went wobbly, the brain started to go weak, and the eyes got crossed. Finally, they conceded that the a-hole would be the boss. This proves that you don't have to be a brain to be a boss, just an a-hole. Condoms Nike Condoms: Just do it. Have you ever had to lie to your child's grandparents? My little girl is 4. She is 4 feet tall and weighs a good 50lbs. As I know, nutrition is Very important. I have her on a very, very good diet to keep her on track, because she is so tall and big. The problem is my mother (who watches her maybe once or twice a week) ALWAYS gives her fast food. I DO NOT approve of that at all. I have asked her sooo many times not to, and she ignores my requests. I have even offered to pack her a dinner when she goes with my mother. The breaking point was this weekend, my mother watched my daughter on Sat. and last Mon. My mother picks her up from day care and my husband picks her up at like 8:00 when he gets out of work. (I work 2nd shift). On Sunday he said he was concerned, because my mother had given her Taco Bell on Monday and Mc' Donald's on Sat!!! I was livid. So, Sunday evening I called her up, (my mother) and told her that I took my daughter to the doctor's , and he said she was getting to big and she would Def be at risk for diabetes soon. It was a lie, and I feel horrible, but she now is very serious about keeping my daughters meal plan going. I want to know if what I did was wrong, because It really hurt to have to go that far (especially lying about taking my daughter to the doctor's when i did not) Has anyone been in a similar situation? she is 4 feet tall and 50+ lbs. She is alowed to have fast food once a month. My mother knows it. Fast food is ruining this country. I don't want my daughter to be subjected to teasing, and fat jokes. It is a big problem I want to nip in the but now. It is not a every once in a while thing, she gives her fast food almost every time she watches her.
