Where can I complain against false Nutrition Facts on food package? I have bought some commodities from Indian grocery shop in Bay area. It is really a bad experience seeing all the lies they put on Nutrition Facts label. They just put anything on any item, I usually buy after looking at the Nutrition facts, after coming home and some research I found what that put on package is just plain false. I really want them to be punished for playing with consumers health by providing wrong information and there by breaking the law. Just to clarify, I am in Sunnyvale, California USA.

Does cooking something change the nutrition facts? Say that I got some chicken and the nutrition facts said that it has 12g of fat. When I cook it does some of the fat get cooked off or is this how many grams are in it when it's cook? Does anything else go down or up (protein, carbs, etc)?
Is there any process that filters foreign foods and their accuracy in nutrition facts? I went to a Korean supermarket and one product claimed that 2g of protein is 84% of your DV while another product claimed to have 10 calories... while it also said it had 39g of carbs. As there are 4 calories per gram of carbs, this is impossible. So I was wondering... is any food agency doing anything to protect consumers from inaccurate nutrition facts of foreign foods or am I doomed to mistrust all Asian products for the rest of my life?
In the United States, why isn't alcohol required to have nutrition facts? Every food you buy (except for produce) is required to have a nutrition facts label on the packaging. I've never seen soda, juice, milk, etc. without that label. So why is it that alcoholic beverages don't have nutrition labels on them? (at least to tell you how many calories and all that?)
Are the nutrition facts from any taco shop pollo asado burrito comparable to El Pollo Loco's? I'm on a pretty strict diet, but sometimes I like to indulge. I bought a pollo asado (grilled chicken) burrito from a taco shop here in Southern California and need to add the nutrition facts to my food journal. Non-chain restaurants in the Boston area that list nutrition facts? I'm doing weight watchers and am looking for restaurants that I can go out to but know exactly how many calories I am eating. I know that nutrition facts are listed for many chain restaurants, but I am interested in more up-scale places. Does anyone know of any places that list their nutrition facts in or around Boston? I have a car, so Newton, Waltham, etc are fine. I know that some nice restaurants have a few items on the menu w/ nutrition facts...but I haven't found any here. Thanks.
Confused about the (+) row in the nutrition facts? Sometimes there's a second row on the nutrition facts and it's labled (+) above the row. Is the first row for what's in the box and the second row the total of what's in the box and additional ingredients to complete the food? I've seen it on things like cookie and cake mix & hamburger helper The (+) row usually has larger #'s than the 1st row.

Nutrition facts about hamburgers? I'm new to grilling, just bought my first grill and burgers. My girlfriend says that the burgers we have are "healthier than the others at the supermaket", but the nutrition facts on the bag seem horrible! The burgers are all frozen, and according to the nutrition facts, ONE burger has more than 60% daily value of fat! (they are average-sized) Is this normal? Does that number still hold true once the burgers are cooked? If the fat does get cooked away, how much is cooked away? Thanks for reading!
Could I please have the "Nutrition Facts" for "Maytag Natural White Cheddar Cheese"? Maytag Natural White Cheddar Cheese is a unique cheese. Just how unique, I do not know. But, it's called for in several recipes by name. By the "Nutrition Facts", I mean the panel on the side of a product that's required by the FDA. I really do want this particular brand. I found it once on the internet at the Maytag Farm site, but it isn't there, any more.

Nutrition Facts more Important than ingredients? People normally look at nutrition facts on food. if they find that the nutrition facts are reasonable, they eat it. but what happens if the food has high sucrose corn syrup. does it matter what ingridients a food has or nutrition facts. because most people don't bother about ingredients unless they have an allergy.
Where can I find Nutrition Facts on Items at a Chineese Bakery? Stuff like Cream Buns, and Egg Tarts, etc... Obviously different bakerys may have different ingredients and such. But in general where can I find information on those items? I'm talkin about the ones in china towns and the more ghetto neighborhoods. They don't speak english and its crowded as hell everyday, so its not like I can pull them aside to talk to them about the issue.
Does anyone have nutrition facts for Poppies brand belgium mini cream puffs? They come in a white tub, pre-frozen. Thaw and serve. I have checked FDA-type websites for nutrition facts but have had no luck. These cream puffs are as evil as they are tasty, I know it! You can usually buy them at Sam's Club or B.J.'s. Nutri fact label should be on the bottom. Anyone got a tub they can check out for me? Thanks.
