Wendy's Taco Salad Nutrition? Is eating the Wendy's Taco Salad once a week for Lunch considered good nutrition? It has veggies, beans, tostitos and sauce and sour cream. One reservation is if it's fattening and greasy due to how it's prepared.
Do YOU think Fast food restaurants SHOULD have Nutrition Labels? In some recent studies, some people complain that they are gaining weight from going to places like McDonald's, Wendy's, Burger King, etc...well duh! Don't eat fast food! However they think that there should be labels with nutrition information on each product. What do you think about this?
What is it going to take for America to stop the production of unhealthy, fat-filled foods? Obesity levels are higher than ever & yet McDonalds, Wendys, Burger King, etc. are still manufacturing unhealthy foods that can cause cancer. Although most places are taking steps to reduce levels of fat and increase nutrition levels in their food, they won't stop selling the others that are horrible for anyone to eat even once a week. I'm aware that business could plummet if they stopped selling the big macs or whoppers, but what about the health of America and future generations? I realize they can go out of business if no one buys the fast food. But don't many Americans know what it's doing to them? No doubt the companies do! it's pitiful.
How long should i wait to eat after throughing up? I just ate a bunch of food from Wendy's. I looked up the nutrition in it and i had consumed 1800 calories and 52 grams of fat. If your wondering I ate from Wendy's: jr. bacon cheese burger spicy chicken sandwich med frie med ice tea
nutrition question about fast food? if i have one unhealthy meal a day, like a 700 calorie, 40 grams of fat meal from taco bell or wendys, but then i don't eat anything bad the rest of the day and i just have normal stuff for breakfast and dinner, is that ok? how many grams of fat is ok per day, for an active 145 pound 17 year-old male? this isn't a losing weight question i'm wondering about maintaining weight. and i dont mean the exact same thing for lunch every day i just mean from the same places
Are three small chillies equivalent to two Large Chillies from Wendy's? So I am just about broke now in this recession, and I looked on Wendy's nutritional guide page and it looks like there are 6 grams of fat in a small chili, but 9 grams of fat in a large chili. This leads me to believe that I can indeed get the equivalent of two large chillis which retail for about $4.25 here in Texas for only $3.22. What is the point of this? Doesn't Wendy's lose more money by giving out three containers plus the extra saltines, spoon, and chilli packets!!?? see this: http://wendys.com/food/Nutrition.jsp
can you get muscular in 4 and a half months with this routine? I want to get pretty muscular in 4 and a half months. I would like nice triceps/biceps, and a six pack. I am 130, 5"6, and pretty broad. My BMI is great for my age, but not yet good for a six pack. I never eat mcdonalds, wendys, etc. Ill do 3 days of weights (40 minutes) and 2 days of cardio/abs (30-40 minutes). I don't want to look like Arnold, just very, VERY toned. is this plan good? Assume proper diet/nutrition, not creatine, etc.
Is 690% of your daily vitamin c intake too much? Earlier today, I ate a Wendy's meal and then I decided to check out the nutrition. I found out that I had consumed 690% of my daily intake of vitamin c. Can this be harmful to me? I'm a 71kg / 156lb male.
Which restaurant has a better, healthier kids menu? McDonald's, Burger King or Wendy's? All three are very close to our home and I want to make sure our baby is getting the proper nutrition. We'll be weaning her off formula in a week or two, so I was curious. (This one's for you, Kiley)
Wendy's food? i was looking at the nutrition guide for wendy's food just now and it said the mandarin chicken salad was only 170 calories but it's huge is it really only that many or is it dividing it into portions without saying so? i was just curious and looked at it also how is a salad bad for you? it's not like they deep fry it or cover it in dressing or something of that nature stacey said the same thing i thought i am pretty sure i saw somewhere one of mcdonald's salads is like 1200 calories or something

How good in terms of songwritting and comedy is this song that I wrote? It's a satire of "American Pie" by Don McLean. There's a lot of words to it so wait a bit for "additional details". I call it "American Fry", copyright pending. A long, long time ago I can still remember how that Kiddie Meal used to make me smile And I knew that if I had a bite That I could make those people right And maybe they’d be fatter for a while But swimming practice made me slimmer Even with every gram the food delivered Bad news on the market So big my car just couldn’t park it I can’t remember if I cried When I read about nutrition lies But something touched me deep inside The day, the fattening, died They started singing, (chorus, slow) fry, fry, its American fry Drove my Chevy to the Wendy’s but the Wendy’s was dry And them good old boys were drinking cola and Sprite Singing this will be the day that I die, This will be the day that I die Did you cook the first Big Mac? And did you ever have a heart attack? If the theme song tells you so? Now do you believe in obesity? Can PE save our country? And can you teach me how to eat real fast? Well I know that you’re in love with him He might not be so tiny thin You both ate your hearts out Oh he wished those fries would run about! I was a lonely teenage lazy ape With a heavy heart and a widening gape But I knew I was out of shape The day the fattening died I started singin’ (chorus, upbeat) Now for 10 years we’ve been on our own As we grow fat on a futon couch But that’s just how is used to be When Ronald sang for you and me With a cake that was made for 23 In a hunger that came from you and me And while the CEO was looking down With the kids crowded around the marketing clown The whole damn jury was hung Over the lunch the defense had brung And while PETA filed corporate suit The cashier wore those high-strung boots As we gawked over all the free loot The day the fattening died We were singin’ (chorus, slow) A McFlurie feels good in a summer swelter Since the PlayPlace was the perfect shelter So great of a thing for all of thee At least they would burn some calories Then they went on home and played a video game They said “Gym sure seems to be pretty lame” Now the halftime part never came Cause there were no kids to play the game The cheerleaders were different They were all choked into size 2 outfits The game was played at the Mc-e-D’s Were the kids all had an eating spree To fill the storage tank in he The day the music died We started singin’ (chorus, regular) Oh, and there were all in one place A generation lost in frosting paste With no time left to eat again So come on Jack be slower, Jack, have jinn Cause Jack Flash sat on a wuppie cushion Because trans fat is the children’s only friend Oh as I watched him in the operation My mind racing with anticipation No person born on Earth Could clinch that Devil’s hearth As the flames climbed high above the grill To light the massive foot-long bill I saw him laughing on the hill The day the fattening died He was singin’ (chorus, slow) I met a girl from Marlin Hues And I asked her for some happy news But she just smiled and turned away I went down to the Burger King Where I’d had a Whopper years before But the man there said the grill wouldn’t stay a-flame And in the streets the fat one screamed The addicts cried and the activists dreamed But not a fry was eaten The resources all were beaten And there the three chains I admired most The pasta, sugar, and the holy toast They caught the last train for the roast The day, the fattening, died. They were singing (slow, only lyrics) Fry, fry, its American Fry Drove my Chevy to the Wendy’s but the Wendy’s was dry And those good old boys were drinkin’ cola and Sprite Singing this will be the day that I die, This will be the day that I die (with other singers, close on line “singing”) Fry, fry it’s American fry Drove my Chevy to the Wendy’s but the Wendy’s was dry And those good old boys were drinkin’ cola and Sprite Singing this will be the day that I die.
Is this super unhealthy? I know fast food is bad for you, and I hate almost all of it except one item...the spicy chicken sandwich from wendy's. It's a bun with mayonaise, lettuce, tomato, and a breaded chicken breast piece on it. The chicken is in breast form so it's not as processed as the beef or chicken nuggets, and I eat it very rarely. I just wanted to know if it's a good option as far as fast food goes. Ironically, it's the only fast food thing that doesn't give me a really bad stomach ache. Here are the nutrition facts. http://www.nutritiondata.com/facts/foods-from-wendys/6814/2 Thanks! And by the way, I'm not overweight at all, and don't need to be watching my weight, I'm just thinking in terms of general health for a sixteen year old who is active, not for weight loss.
Eating fast food and pop everyday for three years? How bad is is fast food for you really? I know someone (and I am worried about their health) who works and has worked at Burger King (gets free food) for three years and eats it EVERYDAY with a coke. She usually gets the 9 piece chicken fries and eats that. I am not kidding. Like literally everyday. It is on her way to college and..she works there so basically everyday. When she does not eat BK, she eats at Mcdonalds or Wendys...same thing. Damn, she has been eating it literally for 3 or 4 years everyday. And she is still so slim (Jealous) but what are the long term effects of eating fast food like this? I want to show her but I am not into nutrition and things like that. I tried to look at the nutrition info of BK and have not found a way to explain what it means. Any help here? Thank you so much in advanced.
I need some help. I'm on a diet, and I quit eating fast food not long a go. I'm on regular exercising program My question is, what makes the the following rice brand better than Mcdonalds or wendy's? Whole Grain Blends (Brown Rice Pilaf) Nutrition Facts: serving size 2.0 oz(56 g/about 1/4 cup dry brown rice & 1-1/3 Tbsp seasoning mix) serving per container about 3.5 (dry) calories as prepared 210 calories from fat 35 Total Fat 1 g* Trans Fat 0g Saturated Fat 2.5 g 10 mg Cholesterol sodium 660 mg total carbohydrate 41g protein 5g My second question is, if I ate the whole package then how many calories have I consumed?
Help!!! I think i'm in the middle of a scam!!!? I responded to an ad in the paper asking for 30 people with no experience to come to work for them... I applied, interviewed the next day and got hired. I've only attended these "training sessions" for 3 days now and everything seems way to fishy. I can't find their business on the BBB... I still have very little info on the company, never recieved a business card or antying professional looking with an address and phone number. My other big concern is that these people get us all in the little tiny room in the little tiny building, close all the blinds, have a video camera set up in the back of the room, and spend 2 hours a day telling us how we're going to make close to $5000 our very first month, that this is not a scam, that they're a real business looking for the right people to work hard. They get up in front of our class a tell us how they're all driving hummers and bmw's, live in the their dream home, go on private Hawaii vacations in the most expensive hotels, showing us their $5000 dollar Rolex.... blah blah blah. What legit business's top guy gets up in front of you showing you his 8 credit cards, pictures of his Hawaii vacation, tells you to look at his BMW, shows you the flashy rolex on his arm...and tells you this could all be yours in 1 year with the company. What legit business spends so much time reiterating the fact that theyr'e a real business if you just trust them, you're dreams will come true??? Anyone heard of this business- Townecraft... it's cookeware... the only other info I know is that the name of the business i'm working for is Commonwealth Health and Nutrition... but you can seem to find 1 damn tidbit of info on this company online anywhere...THESE PEOPLE ARE SKETCHY and I'm afriad they might be some damn good scam artists. Plus let me throw the ringer in there.... tonight at about 9:00 I rode to the little conveinance store to grab a pack of smokes... this store is located right beside the place i've been going to for three days now. The lady the spoke to our class today-Wendy, General Manager... I saw her Hummer parked there and then I saw the top-dog's car. He is supposedly the main guy, the big guy. He's 56 years old, dresses in his fancy gear, very smooth talker, drives the BMW sitting in the parking lot.... As I was coming out of the store I saw the "big guy" and this Wendy girl coming out of the little building getting into the same car. So I admit, I followed a little just to see if maybe they were going to a hotel or whatever. They went to a little fast food restaurant, so I watched them and this Wendy girl is about 27-ish, the bossman is 56. I was like ok they're just grabbing a bite to eat... until I completely saw them kissing each other, rubbing each other, holding hands... etc. WIERD! So if anyone can help... please do!!! I know that if they ask me to buy anything then I'm not... I know i'm not signing anything. But they keep saying how I am going to make a killing in this business, I will not have to pay for anything, and they keep reiterating the fact that this is not a scam and trying to convince us that this is a real company. Just think it is way too fishy. If anyone has any advice please help QUICKLY!!! Because i'm suppose to go back there tomorrow and if this is a scam, then I want out as quickly as possible. Thanks.
6 Worst Fast-Food Burgers What should You Eat Instead ? Question is a little long please patient and read it.Worst Cheeseburger with Everything Wendy’s Double with Everything and Cheese 700 calories 40 g fat (17 g saturated, 2 g trans) 1,440 mg sodium In the pantheon of fast-food burgers, this cannot compete with the atrocities wrought by the Double Whoppers and Six Dollar Burgers of the world. But there are too many burgers at Wendy’s to end up with this mistake. Take the Double Stack below—with small chili—for example. With 37 grams of protein and 6 grams of fiber, it might be the most satisfying $2 meal in America. Bonus tip: Find out which Wendy’s burger meal made our list of the 39 Healthiest Foods in America. Eat This Instead! Double Stack with Small Chili 550 calories 24 g fat (10.5 g saturated, 1 g trans) 1,640 mg sodium Worst Burger and Fries In-N-Out Burger Hamburger and French Fries 790 calories 37 g fat (10 g saturated) 895 mg sodium You’re heading into dangerous territory whenever you add fries to your order at In-N-Out. Sure, they’re trans-fat-free, but that won’t protect you from the 400 greasy, gut-bloating calories they carry. Instead, skip the fries and get serious about your burger. In-N-Out was offering up the low-carb treat long before other restaurants started making money off the Atkins craze. Take advantage of their prescience—and the 150-calorie savings—by simply tacking the phrase “protein style” onto your order. Bonus tip: Another way to shed pounds quickly? Protein Style Double-Double with grilled onion, ketchup, and mustard 440 calories 30 g fat (16 g saturated) 1,080 mg sodium Worst Plain Cheeseburger Five Guys Cheeseburger (plain) 840 calories 55 g fat (22.5 g saturated) 1,050 mg sodium Even if you get the regular (i.e., bi-pattied) cheeseburger naked, you’ll still be taking in more than 250 calories and 20 grams of fat extra over the seemingly decadent bacon and sauteed mushroom burger. That’s because what Five Guys calls a “Little Burger,” healthy people call a “normal burger.” Plus, if you limit yourself to a single beef patty, you can get away with a couple of indulgent toppings like cheese or bacon. Eat This Instead! Little Bacon Burger with Sauteed Mushrooms and A1 Steak Sauce 575 calories 33 g fat (14.5 g saturated) 920 mg sodium Worst Burger Brand Carl’s Jr. Six Dollar Burger 890 calories 54 g fat (20 g saturated, 2 g trans) 2,040 mg sodium What’s scary about the basic Six Dollar Burger is that with the exception of the bunless version, this is the leanest of the Six Dollar Burgers. That’s not a compliment—the rest of the line is just trashed beyond repair with egregious piles of bacon, guacamole, and teriyaki sauce. When at Carl’s, choose a Big Hamburger instead. Sure it’s big, but it’s not so big that you’re going to have to spend the next 3 days recovering. In fact, kids’ burgers aside, this is the only hamburger offered that won’t cost you in excess of 500 calories. Eat This Instead! Big Hamburger 460 calories 17 g fat (8 g saturated, 0.5 g trans) 1,090 mg sodium Worst “Original” Burger Hardee’s Original Thickburger (1/3 lb) 910 calories 64 g fat (21 g saturated) 1,560 mg sodium Shockingly, this is one of the least offensive of the Thickburgers. If you really need 1/3 pound of meat for lunch, make it the low-carb version and save yourself 490 calories. Or, choose a Double Cheeseburger, instead. It’s far from a model of sound nutrition, but the same could be said of Hardee’s itself. So if you want a burger with substance, you need to settle for the lesser of many evils. Bonus tip: Find out which burgers and other fast-food favorites we picked on our must-see list of Top Swaps for Weight Loss. Eat This Instead! Double Cheeseburger 510 calories 26 g fat (5 g saturated) 1,120 mg sodium Worst Fast-Food Cheeseburger in America Burger King Triple Whopper Sandwich with Cheese and Mayo 1,250 calories 84 g fat (32 g saturated, 3.5 g trans) 1,600 mg sodium This Triple Whopper is triple trouble. You could remove two patties and still be looking at more calories than you should tussle with in one sitting. And the fact that it’s got more trans fat than you should eat in a day only adds insult to injury. The problem with BK burgers is that not a single one comes without the heart-harming trans-fatty acids, despite their long-standing promise to (someday) make their menu trans-fat-free. Your best bet when dealing with the King is to choose a chicken sandwich instead. Eat This Instead! I need a plan, and I need help.? I work a 9-5 and it's really easy to go to Wendy's and get some chicken nuggets and fries. I sit down all day, and when I get home I'm tired and don't feel like doing anything. The past couple days I've been working out -- finally. I have a good body shape and everything, but I'm afraid that, while sitting at my 9-5 and being a frequenter of the local Wendy's, I will lose it. I need to know what kind of foods to buy and what to make myself for lunches. I want the perfect nutrition combination. Is there anyone out there that knows what the perfect thing for me to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner is??? Thanks :)
Fast food restaurant menu prices? What site can you go to in order to find the PRICES for food items at fast food restaurants like Wendy's, McDonalds, and Sonic? Every site that I've gone to they only list the nutrition facts and the different food items but no prices. Thanks! I know that some fast food restaurants do have menu prices online because I just found Sonic's. Like I have to know for my homework assignment how much a bag of cookies costs at McDonald's and a fish sandwich at Jack in the box. It doesn't have to be exact... any location will work.

Fred Turley of Des Plaines, Ill., learned he didn’t have a daughter. And Wendy Lieb of Lewis Center, Ohio, made certain she wasn’t going to be a grandmother quite yet. In all three situations, crucial genetic information altered the lives of the people involved. And in each case, it came not from a doctor or other medical source, but from a $29.99 kit on a drugstore shelf. Reid, Turley and Lieb are among more than 800 customers who responded to the first wave of marketing for do-it-yourself DNA paternity tests sold as Identigene by Sorenson Genomics of Salt Lake City. Story continues below ↓ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- advertisement -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sales in three western states — Washington, Oregon and California — were so brisk last fall that Rite Aid Corp. expanded the product this week to some 4,300 stores in 30 states across the country. “The running joke is that we’re the Maury Povich family,” said Reid, 37, who confirmed years of speculation about a former girlfriend’s son with a kit purchased at a Bellingham, Wash., store. “But why not do it privately? We did this as discreetly, as efficiently and as cost-effectively as possible.” For users like Reid, the tests provide easier answers to one of life’s crucial questions — Who’s your daddy? — said Douglas Fogg, chief operating officer of Identigene. “Everyone is purchasing the tests because they’re curious,” said Fogg, who expects to sell at least 52,000 tests this year. “They’re looking to establish questions about their own child or their own paternity.” But for genetics experts, drugstore marketing of DNA testing raises questions of accuracy and ethics. “From our perspective, direct-to-consumer genetic tests raise all the same issues for lax government oversight, potentially misleading or false advertising and the potential for making profound medical decisions on the basis of poorly interpreted or understood results,” said Rick Borchelt, a spokesman for the Genetics and Public Policy Center at Johns Hopkins University. At the very least, the kits have the potential to complicate the lives of the people who use them, legal experts cautioned. “We all need to take a step back and realize that this is different than many tests that you take,” said R. Alta Charo, a professor of law and bioethics at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. “This is a life-changing moment.” DNA tests join other diagnostic tools The paternity kits have taken their place on store shelves next to other diagnostic tests that don’t rely on DNA, including those for pregnancy, HIV and blood sugar, said Michael S. Watson, executive director of the American College of Medical Genetics. Unlike genetic tests for health conditions, tests that use DNA to determine paternity are fairly simple to provide and fairly easy to interpret, said Watson. They're subject to limited oversight, however, with no review required by the Food and Drug Administration and no certification required under the federal Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments, or CLIA. The Identigene kit includes swabs for collecting cell samples from the inside of the cheeks of the child and the alleged father. Collection of the mother’s cells is optional, but strongly recommended to strengthen the results. The swabs are packaged and mailed to the Sorenson laboratory in Salt Lake City where they’re analyzed. Cast your vote Are at-home DNA paternity tests a good idea? The Sorenson lab is accredited by the AABB, the agency formerly known as the American Association of Blood Banks. Results are reported online, by phone or by mail in three to five business days. They come back as a probability figure that verifies paternity with 98 percent to 99 percent accuracy, Watson said. Total cost is about $150, including the price of the kit and a $119 laboratory processing fee. For another $200, users can purchase validated tests that meet legal requirements for determining paternity, Fogg said. Court use questionable But Susan Crockin, a lawyer who specializes in reproductive technology, said consumers shouldn’t count on the tests standing up in court. Video Who's your daddy? DIY paternity test debuts March 27: A new type of at-home medical test can reveal a child’s paternity. But is it a good idea? NBC's Michelle Kosinski reports. Today show “The jury’s still very much out on these tests in terms of reliability and establishing a chain of custody,” said Crockin, a consultant for the Johns Hopkins public policy center. Most of the users who have been buying the kits — which have gone on sale for as low as $17.99 — don’t plan to use the results to resolve legal issues, Fogg acknowledged. Instead, most are looking to answer social questions. And that's where the complexity comes in. Because the cell samples are taken in private, there’s the potential for fraud and deception, noted Charo, the ethics expert. “I can imagine rather peculiar circumstances in which somebody has a swab taken without their knowledge,” she said. “It raises questions about informed consent.” Even when people do consent, the results can be unsettling. Watson estimates that between 5 percent and 10 percent of genetic tests he's conducted show a child is not related to the presumed father. “It could break up families,” Watson said. “Some will be broken because that was the goal. Others will be broken up and that wasn't the goal.” But people who’ve used the at-home tests swear by the ease, the accuracy — and the results. After 20 years, a mystery solved For Reid, the paternity test opened the door to a new extended family. He’d always wondered whether the baby born to a former girlfriend was his, even though she insisted the child was fathered by another man. When the girlfriend contacted Reid on Facebook last summer, the pictures she sent of her oldest son raised the question anew. “My wife, said ‘Oh my, that’s you,’” said Reid, a nurse. Internet research pointed Reid to the Identigene test, which was cheaper and more convenient than other options. With cooperation from his former girlfriend and her son, they all took the tests, with results that altered everyone’s lives. “Our newest son has a family he never knew he had including grandparents, aunts, and three younger brothers who are all very excited to meet him,” Reid said. For Fred Turley, 55, the DNA test confirmed what his companion had told him: the 4-year-old girl he helped care for was not his. The news was disappointing, but clear, he said. “The bottom line is, I don’t have to live with the uncertainty about her being my daughter and wind up in a fight just to find out,” Turley said. “This won’t change how I feel about the girl. It will just remove what had become a major concern.” For Wendy Lieb, 41, the DNA test restored her 20-year-old son’s future. He’d already quit college, taken a job and assumed the responsibilities of pending parenthood after a girl he had sex with at a party claimed she was pregnant with his child. Click for related content Comprehensive sex ed may cut teen birth rate Baby boys more likely to die than girls 1 in 4 teen girls has at least one STD ‘He just didn't look like my son at all.’ Lieb said she was proud of her son’s response, but perplexed after the baby, a boy, was born. “He just didn’t look like my son at all,” Lieb said. “And we have fairly strong genes.” A trip to the drugstore and 10 days later, the answer was clear: her son was not the father. “I thought it would have required thousands of dollars and a trip to the doctor,” she said. Lieb is relieved for her own child, of course, but also for everyone involved. As difficult as the situation has been, she said, it will be easier for them to adjust now, rather than years later. The test may raise ethical questions, she said, but it also provides the peace of mind that comes with answers. “I think it’s a lot more ethical for you to find out the truth,” she said. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23814032?GT1=43001
Freaking weight conspiracy? If you don't want to listen to a full-on rant, I suggest you leave now.. :s To start, I'm not anorexic, and I don't have any eating disorders, etc, etc. I'm just freaking underweight. Now, have you ever noticed how it's apparently socially unacceptable to poke fun at an overweight person, but it's perfectly OK to belittle an underweight person? It seems to me that since the general population of the United States is overweight (I'm not trying to be mean, I promise), overweight people try to divert the attention from the truth and point out that perfectly healthy people are "too skinny". This makes it out that the overweight individuals are actually normal. (told you this would be a rant) Anyways, another thing that really bothers me is that people you don't even know, STRANGERS, will just walk up to you and insult you, then walk away. I don't even feel comfortable going to a public POOL because people will do this. Lastly, the thing that ticks me off the most. I will be going on a shopping trip with my own SISTER and she'll give me lecture on how I shouldn't worry about my weight. That I shouldn't think about it all the time. And then, the thing that REALLY pisses me off, the next day we went to Wendy's with her husband and my brother. I had already eaten so when they asked me what I wanted, I just said I'll have a frosty or something. Then my sister's like "you should really get some real food" and then her husbands like "ya, god forbid you should actually get some nutrition!". I didn't even hear what else they threw at me, because I just couldn't believe they had said that. All I could think was, my sister's a freaking hypocrite! I can't not think about my weight when people are CONSTANTLY poking fun at it! ... Yes, I am a big fan of Caps, and yes, I am now done with my rant. :s
I consume about 1100-1500 calories and 15-35 grams of fat a day is this unhealthy? I consume about 1100-1500 calories and 15-35 grams of fat a day is this unhealthy? First of all 50 days ago i weighed 295 (im 19 years old and 6'2), now i weigh 260. I eat once a day, cause i have no free time, i also only eat fast food, which is ALWAYS Wendy's or subway. I always eat the chicken since it isnt as bad. im not slowly killing myself am i? I dont actually feel hungry at all, i just eat cause i know i need to. I take a daily vitamin to help with nutrition since i know chicken sandwiches (loaded with spinach and tomatoes) dont have everything i need.
Is there a way to be helpful to a dieting friend without being rude? See the details!? Okay, so I am on a mission to eat healthier and work out, as is my close, dear friend, who is obese. We have both started paying more attention to food choices and we are exercising together several nights a week. Well, she likes to go to Subway for lunch every day because she says it's the only fast food that's good for her. This would be true IF she ordered something different. She gets a certain footlong sandwich whose nutritionals are over 1000 calories total, every single time. I know she is paying attention to calorie counts so I am not sure if she looked at the values for these and was confused or what. That is definitely way more calories than she would choose to eat for any other meal. She could get far fewer calories if she just ordered a junior cheeseburger (or two, even!) at Wendy's! I don't want to be the diet police or get all snarky and say, "Um, you realize that has 1060 calories, right?" but I'm thinking she honestly looked at the nutrition info wrong. I have quadruple-checked it myself because I thought about getting the same sandwich! So do I: A) keep my mouth shut, B) find a nice way to mention it (how?), C) order the same sandwich as a "splurge" and write down the calories in my food notebook in front of her, D) something else? Believe me, I wouldn't say a word EXCEPT I know she is looking to keep her daily calorie count to something pretty low and this sandwich is not helping! Where's the line between helpful and rude?
