Body Myths

Why is calorie info on McDonald's website different than on the packaging?

I bought a BigMac - the packaging says 459 kcal, the website http://nutrition.mcdonalds.com/ says 540 kcal. Apple Pie - 210 kcal on the packaging, 250 kcal on the website. Which source of info should I trust? Btw, I'm in Europe, maybe there's a difference in portion size? Edit - typo: BigMac packaging says 495, not 459.

Public Comments

  1. because they are evil
  2. They most likely think that people would read the package one more instead of going on to the website... this way if people know its less cals they can order more so that mcDonalds make even more money.
