Body Myths

Is this super unhealthy?

I know fast food is bad for you, and I hate almost all of it except one item...the spicy chicken sandwich from wendy's. It's a bun with mayonaise, lettuce, tomato, and a breaded chicken breast piece on it. The chicken is in breast form so it's not as processed as the beef or chicken nuggets, and I eat it very rarely. I just wanted to know if it's a good option as far as fast food goes. Ironically, it's the only fast food thing that doesn't give me a really bad stomach ache. Here are the nutrition facts. http://www.nutritiondata.com/facts/foods-from-wendys/6814/2 Thanks! And by the way, I'm not overweight at all, and don't need to be watching my weight, I'm just thinking in terms of general health for a sixteen year old who is active, not for weight loss.

  1. its fine:) as long as you dont eat like 3 servings everyday!
  2. If you're not eating it on a daily basis then you should be fine. maybe only 1 a week
  3. You can make it healthier if you ask them to make some changes. For example, ask for grilled chicken instead of crispy/breaded. The extra breading adds to the calories. Also, I'd ask them to leave out the mayo because they tend slop on waaay more than is needed. They do have mayo packets (I think) and it's better to put it on yourself. I think the recommended serving is about a table spoon. Another alternative is mustard. Also, I would ditch the pop and french fries and get a juice/ice tea and apple slices.
